Our Blue House Keeps Getting Beautified

The Race is On...
  We are down to the final stretch people. Here are a few pictures of the progress at the blue house.

This is the stairs with the dark stain on steps and railings, just waiting to be primed and painted with the white. I'm so glad we met with our painter and he adjusted the stain darker, right on the spot. I was so thrilled to have it match the dark in our hardwood floor sample. Here's hoping the sample matches our floor. ;)

Above - from the stove looking into the great room. You can see that the stairs are now primed, as well as the cabinetry by the fireplace. The cupboard doors will be white and our awesome carpenters made all of our cabinet doors & drawers (window benches, back bench, closets cupboards etc) to match the craftsman style like in the kitchen.  

This is from the nook looking down the basement stairs. To the left is the pantry, to the right is the front door. 

Here you can see more kitchen and a better glimpse of what the beautiful stairs will look like. I can't wait to show you the finished project.

I know you have seen this shot before, but I can't resist showing the progress of the painting.

Our Restoration Hardware lights are all labelled and ready to be delivered to our new home soon. (We stuck the medallions inside the boxes according to each room.)

 This is the paint colour for every bathroom. This picture does not do it justice. (The blue truly compliments the marble counter top). When I walked into the ensuite, I was immediately relaxed. What a great colour to wake up to and get ready in the morning, or just to have a little R&R in the tub before bed. 

As you can see the tiles have arrived. We have smaller subway tiles for the kitchen and larger ones for the bath.

 

This is a little bit contemporary for our home, but it seemed to not compete with the counter top. We have a mixture of styles in our house, (you'll see when our light choices arrive) but I think they will compliment each other so very nicely. 

Maybe you can envision the floor being finished? 

Again, this picture does not show what it really looks like, but the counter actually matches so nicely. The teens will have more room for all their stuff. Especially our son, who doesn't need much room. We have hooks for all the bathrooms, and some in the bedrooms too. I'll keep you posted. the next time I blog, so much more will be done. Maybe we will be moved...? Whoo hooo!
