Blue House Updates

-Some new news on the home front-

The pillars are growing, the pillars are growing!

As you can see we have new pillars on the porch. And the kids names that we carved into the cement aren't even covered. Phew!

We decided not to do bi-fold doors, so the kids will no longer get skin and fingers squished in between. (We hope). We thought these were a prettier option as well.

This is the closet that my two youngest will share. We decided to lose their dresser because we lost some room space by adding the window benches, and give them their dresser built inside their closet. (Here's crossing my fingers it does not become a jungle gym to climb)

The above picture is in the same room. The two middle sections have the lift top drawers, which will be good for toys, and the two outer sections are actually drawer fronts. This way they can still use the space for treasures. No wasted space allowed.

This window bench has three very deep and spacious drawers.
Here is the master bedroom's window bench. Again, with 3 deep drawers. I figure I can store some blankets inside. Can't you just see it? Curl up with a great book, maybe a hot chocolate, and wrap yourself up in a cozy blanket? All the while looking out into the great big yard, full of...nothing! haha. Who can afford to do a yard now? You are all crazy! Just the natural pool we have whenever it rains. Mind you, with all the rain we are having it has turned into its own little lake.

Closet Update...

We too have drawers in our closet.

I know you have seen this before, but now there is a wooden piece for the hooks. If you look closely you will see the laundry shute now is framed with a door. Just wait until everything is painted. There is room at the end for a mirror. I picked out major lighting...5 bulbs per light. No more guessing what that outfit looks like for real...oooh wait, this could be a bad thing! :p
