I thought I'd post a picture of what our road looked like yesterday with all that fast flood rain...
As for our house, things are progressing much slower than we had anticipated, but here is a look at our spindles that arrived, as well as a few sample pictures of potential ideas for staining. We will not have the spindles on each step, as that is an expense we weren't willing to spend, but we will have them on a runner alongside the steps. Each riser will be white and each step will be dark to match our hardwood. We are trying to sort out whether to stain the bottom runner dark to match the top handrail, or leave the runner white too. So far we vote that the handrail and runner be dark to match. Any thoughts?
