I was perusing the web for home ideas...

We didn't exactly do our kitchen like this... but...

I got a little side tracked and found this...

Here is our kitchen. As you can see, the window was originally flush with the wall, we got the idea to push it out from a friend. It will make a nice plant ledge in the future.

The far corner door is our walk through pantry. In the bottom right hand corner are the curved stairs to the basement.

Below is what our kitchen looks like with the cabinetry up. We ordered a Kholer cast iron apron sink. I love that look and am so glad it's a popular choice. (Makes it easier to purchase).

The backsplash will be white subway tiles.

Beside the pantry, all boxed in, will be our fridge. ALL fridge no freezer. Whew! Finally a place that will hold more than 2 days worth of food for our family of 8. (It will have a cabinet door on the front too.)

The island will have a sink, of course, but stay tuned, we are having the (pull out drawer) microwave installed inside the island right across from the fridge. How handy dandy is that?
